Birthdays

Birthdays come once a year
Always moving forward and never back
If only we could go back, and that's the fear
Every year your age piles on like a stack
The years go by so fast
Before you know it your already grown
And still you can never go to the past
Now you're 18 and on your own
The years go by and you're getting older
But it seems the past is going far away
and all those memories are getting colder
Now you're birthday is back again, today
Now you are sure that you can never go back
And that birthdays come once a year

Well, yesterday was my birthday, and at 7:04 I officially turned 12. So, I wrote this little poem about birthdays for ya'll. And, hopefully you liked it.
