Plant of The Week (#3)

So, in today's blog, our topic will be on the lovely bluebonnet. I just thought it would be a really fun Plant of The Week, since it's the Texas state flower and all. Anyways, this blog is technically the third Plant of The Week that I have done, because in my first Plant of The Week I didn't really have the official Plant of The Week picture.

So, as we all know, the bluebonnet is the Texas state flower. But, what we don't know is why it's the Texas state flower. So, here's why: In 1901, the Texas Legislature named the bluebonnet, the state flower. Many say it got its name because the petals look like sunbonnets (which were popular in the 1800s). It's also been called buffalo clover, wolf flower, and el conejo, which means rabbit in Spanish.

So, anyways, hopefully you liked this post, stay safe, wash your hands and have a great day! Also I might do a part two to the bluebonnet, explaining how to plant it and what type of climax it survives at. Anyways, again, have a great day!
